Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don’t belong
And no one understands you
Do you ever wanna runaway?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

I’d like to be remembered as a guy who tried — tried to be part of his times, tried to help people communicate with one another, tried to find some decency in his own life, tried to extend himself as a human being. Someone who isn’t complacent, who doesn’t cop out.

And he will be remembered not just as the most handsome actor of all times, not as just one of the greatest actors ever, but also as a highly respected, very decent, extraordinary human being.

A new mail=GMAIL!!!!

Today we of 2nd year Advanced at Mieres Language School have had our first ICT from 7.30 to 9.00

I had only heard of this new world of Gmail on the first day of the English classes of this new school year, the previous Monday, when the teacher told us about it, that’s why I had some trouble to enter it.

First of all, I wasn’t totally sure what the computer was asking me, if my password was the hotmail password or the password of my Gmail  account, and  that’s why I spent ten minutes trying again and again … I think I must have written my hotmail password instead of the Gmail password ten o twenty times at least, but finally I managed to get in without any more trouble.

After that, in the profile page, where you have to write your real  name, and you can write as many nicknames as you want, I wrote my real name, an only a nickname, but  to my surprise after clicking the UPDATE USER button or something similar, and after trying only twice, I was able to write my name, nickname…..

Finally, I only have to say that the first ICT class was a bit difficult and even disappointing for  me, because some times I felt completely lost, I don’t know if was my fault, the computer’s fault …, although I have to recognise that two days ago I couldn’t enter my Gmail  account, and I didn’t know my Gmail password to enter and discover  this world new for me … so I wish I had  visited my Gmail account before today and probably I wouldn’t have had so many problems.

Despite it all, I think it is a good way of learning English and specially a more  dynamic and fun way of having an English class.

He’s back again!!!

After not singing solo for a few years, Enrique Bunbury, former singer of the famous rock band “Heroes del Silencio”, is back with a  few concerts in Spain: he’s playing in La Coruña on 4th October and in Barcelona on 13th. If you can’t go there, as myself, maybe we’ll be able to listen to him in America: he always goes to Mexico because Mexican people really love him! So, it could be a good excuse to visit this amazing country.

Bunbury´s previous work was a collaboration with Nacho Vegas, an Asturian singer who plays in the Celtic band “Lucas 15″.

Of course, we  can’t forget the successful concerts that the former musicians of “Heroes del Silencio”  gave last year. It seemed as if time had stopped!

I hope everybody enjoys his new songs.

As there  aren’t any videos of the new songs available on YouTube, I chose this one of Nacho Vegas & Bunbury for you.

Holidays in Lisbon

Hello everybody,
I am going to tell you about my summer holidays. I went to Lisbon, the beautiful capital city of Portugal.
I was there for 1 week in July, so you can imagine that the weather was fantastic. In my opinion too hot, but it was fine (better than in Asturias). Lisbon  isn’t very big, you can go everywhere in the subway (which is cheap) or catch something similar to a train called  tram. This is more expensive than the subway but
you can see the streets during the  journey.

If you  don’t know anything about Lisbon I can tell you about some important places that you shouldn’t miss:

The Rossio: It is a train station in the city centre.

I hope you enjoy it!

Time to start

We are at the  beginning of the school year, which won’t finish until the month of May or  perhaps June.
It could be our last year at this school, and we should enjoy it as much as we can.
I hope this year will be a great one for all of us.
With nothing more to say , good luck to everyone!

There is a first time for everything

Don’t you think that it is awful when you are in front of a crowd or in front o a pc as I am now, without anything in your mind to tell the world?

This is my first post ever, I hope it won’t be the last, and I guess I will get used to posting; and I swear that my next post will be longer.

Domination

Today  I’ve read on the BBC home page that a new scientific research shows how men who have an important social position or important jobs prefer their wives to stay at home. And women who have similar jobs think in the same way. The study said that this is because executives need extra moral support from their family. Money is not so important in this aspect as maintaining the job and of course the power attached to it.

I think it is all a question of money because if an executive lost his job obviously would lose not only the job but also the money. It is clear that executives earn a lot of money and they  don’t need his wife or her husband get a job because  their salary is big enough to sustain the whole family comfortably.
