Watching films…

Hello everybody!
I’m Tania, from the 5pm group. Last week I was quite busy (this one too…) so I’ve been unable to attend the classes, but thanks to the blog I can follow easily what has been done there. I can follow the lessons and do the exercises, which is not the same as in class where the teacher helps us, but at least it’s another way to practise on the days I can’t go to Mieres. And I have another opportunity for practising my writing by publishing a post here.
Another thing I normally do to improve my English is watching films in original version. Sadly, most of the time I need subtitles, but I notice that the longer I’ve been listening to it, the less I have to read the subtitles. So I think it’s a good way to “open my ears”.
The last film I saw was “Scoop”, by Woody Allen, starring the film director, Scarlett Johansson and Hugh Jackman. Woody Allen’s films are always different. This one is about a serial killer, who hasn’t been caught. Scarlett, with the help of Woody and a dead journalist who appears as a ghost, investigates the crimes, and discovers that Hugh’s character is somehow involved.
The film, which could be a common thriller turns into an unusual comedy thanks to Woody Allen’s humor. So I recommend this amusing film, very well done and with intelligent dialogues, and always perfect for a rainy day like today. If you want to have a look, here is the trailer:

See you!

There is a first time for everything

Don’t you think that it is awful when you are in front of a crowd or in front o a pc as I am now, without anything in your mind to tell the world?

This is my first post ever, I hope it won’t be the last, and I guess I will get used to posting; and I swear that my next post will be longer.

The first

If you can read it, then I can write posts here. Well, I hope It will not be the last one…

Getting registered in the blog

First thing I want you to do, is to set up a gmail address. People at Educastur might think this amounts to high treason, but the fact is that Google offers far more services and more interesting than Educastur at the moment: with a Google account you can get notifications via e-mail and mobile phone of all the events that I add in the Notice Board calendar and we can have chat and one-to-one voice calls in this site.

So, first step set up your gmail account. (If you already have one, you can either set up another one especial for this course or go directly to the second step). Click here to get started.

Summer renovations

If you happen to stop by on these days you may find that bloggin’ away looks a bit funny, don’t worry it is just undergoing some renovations for the next course, getting a new, fresh make up! I’m working on the CSS so at times it will look all messed up, but hopefully it will all be for the better!

I have a backup of the old files in case I screw up!
